August 17 -19  2012 Snowball's  Chance Claim  Sequim/Port Angeles Area  This is information from last year and I will update as soon as I get more information.

Outing:    August 17-19, 2012

Time:       Friday 2PM  until Sunday 4PM

Location:    Snowballs Chance Claim

               187 Rebel Lane

               Sequim/Port Angeles, WA

Sponsors:    Jody & Don Kirst  (THANK YOU!!)

Direction:    From Sequim, Washington proceed west on US 101 approximately 9.1 miles ( measured from dowqntown Sequim ) towards Port Angeles, Washington.  Turn Left (South) on Blue Mountain Road and proceed approximately 1/4 mile to Rebel Lane on right. Turn onto Rebel Lane and proceed past a big painted rock in residential area.  Continue on road a short distance and claim will be on your left.  (Signs will direct you).

Camping:    Room for 10-15 RV's in addition to tent camping. There is plenty of space once you get there.  I have doubts that a 34 footer could negotiate the first corner in our road.  A 25 foot trailer is the longest vehicle I have had on the property so far.  They could inspect first by driving down Rebel Lane to the point where our road goes down hill and Rebel Lane turns right.  There is a big wide spot there for them to turn around if they have to.  Then they could walk down to the property to determine if they want to try driving down.  There is a KOA about two miles from the property at US101 and O'Brian Road.

Facilities:    Pit Toilet available

Water:        Hot and Cold Water

Firewood:    Available on Site

Gold:           All you can find

Other info:
It's okay to remove fossils from the creek, but please do not dig into the bank. Please pick up any trash you find, even though it was not left by you. Please respect neighboring property owner's rights and also drive slow on Rebel Lane.
Campers are welcome to cut firewood from wood pile for camp fires. I would request that the cedar not be cut.
There is water in the shed. It has not been tested and may not be suitable for drinking. Feel free to use it for washing
